বুধবার ঝড় ইয়াস আছড়ে পড়েছে এবং সারা বাংলায় তার প্রভাব পড়েছে। জলপাইগুড়ি পুরসভা এ কারণে জল সরবরাহের সময় বৃদ্ধি করেছেন যাতে বাসিন্দারা জল সংগ্রহ করতে অসুবিধায় না পড়েন। দুপুর ১ টা থেকে ৫ টা অবধি জল সরবরাহ করা হয়। তা বাড়িয়ে রাত ৮ টা পর্যন্ত করা হয়েছে। এই সুবিধা আগামী ২ দিন ধরে চলবে। এ ছাড়া খারাপ পাইপলাইনও মেরামত করা হয়েছে।
